Companies you pay to help find you loans?

I know that there are companies out there that do this I'm just having a hard time finding them. You pay like or and they help find you a lender. This is mostly for people like me who have bad credit. I'm not talking about these free email scam people. I was a member of one a long time ago, but can't remember the web site. Any info anyone can give will be appreciated.
I need a large personal loan.
